Dr.Muhammad Kashif Zaminis a pharmacist and medicinal chemist specializing in medicinal chemistry, drug discovery, and synthetic organic chemistry. He obtained his Ph.D. from the School of Pharmacy, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China, a university ranked 35th globally in the QS World University Rankings. He has conducted postdoctoral research at the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University and Shanghai Jiao Tong University University, China.His research focuses on structure-guided drug design, antiviral drug discovery, synthetic organic chemistry, photochemistry, and green chemistry. He has contributed to the discovery and development of novel antiviral compounds, particularly small-molecule inhibitors targeting the respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) fusion protein. His research has been published in leading international journals, including Nature Communications, Journal of Medicinal Chemistry, Bioroganic chemistry, Journal of Organic Chemistry, ACS Applied Energy Materials, Catalysts, Journal of Materials Chemistry C, Chemico-Biological Interactions, ACS Omega, among others. His work integrates molecular design, chemical synthesis, structure-activity relationship studies, and biological evaluation to advance novel therapeutic candidates for drug discovery.
